WASHINGTON—House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) will speak at an event hosted by The Hill on Wednesday, March 6 to discuss bipartisan efforts aimed at reforming Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs).

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability had held multiple hearings during the 118th Congress to examine how Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) have monopolized the pharmaceutical marketplace and pushed anticompetitive prices that undermine patient health and drive up the cost of prescription drugs. At these hearings, both Republicans and Democrats have stressed the importance of greater transparency in the PBM industry and the need for Congress to address PBMs’ harmful pricing tactics.

WHAT: The Hill live event, “Prescribing PBM Reform,” on bipartisan action on PBM accountability. Chairman Comer’s remarks will be followed by a discussion with leaders in healthcare, business, pharmacy, and consumer patient advocacy.
