The federal government must answer to the American people. Congressman Comer previously served as Ranking Member of the Oversight Committee from June 2020 to December 2022. He continues to aggressively advocate for reducing waste, fraud and abuse in government and works tirelessly to reduce burdensome regulations and boost government transparency.
Under Chairman Comer’s leadership, the Oversight Committee has conducted investigations into waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement across the federal government. The Committee has exposed vulnerabilities in federal assistance programs, examined billions of dollars lost through pandemic relief fraud, investigated abuse in state administered programs receiving federal funds, and advanced legislation to strengthen safeguards against improper payments. Congressman Comer remains committed to ensuring taxpayer funded programs serve the Americans who truly need them and are not exploited by fraudsters.
