Congressman Comer has spent his life working in agriculture and advocating for Kentucky’s farmers and rural producers. Raised in Monroe County, he studied agriculture at Western Kentucky University. He operates a family farming business and is the only former elected Commissioner of Agriculture serving in Congress.

Oversight and Reform
Under Chairman Comer’s leadership, the Oversight Committee has conducted investigations into waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement across the federal government. The Committee has exposed vulnerabilities in federal assistance programs, examined billions of dollars lost through pandemic relief fraud, investigated abuse in state administered programs receiving federal funds, and advanced legislation to strengthen safeguards against improper payments.
