Congressman James Comer (KY-01) is pleased to announce 11 service academy nominations from the 1st District of Kentucky.

“It’s a privilege to nominate these young men and women to our great service academies. It’s inspiring to see these 11 students planning to dedicate themselves in service to the United States. I know they would represent their families, communities and the 1st District of Kentucky with great pride and honor. I wish them the best in their education and service,” said Congressman Comer.

 

Phillip English, from Marion, KY and Cologia La Senda, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy. He is the son of Phillip and Pamela English.

 

Daniel Wingfield, from McCracken County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy and the United States Air Force Academy. He is the son of Richard and Lisa Wingfield.

 

Torii Doran, from Graves County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy. She is the daughter of Mark and Terri Doran.

 

Jackson Stratton, from Hopkins County Central High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy, United States Air Force Academy and the United States Naval Academy. He is the son of Kevin and Deborah Stratton.

 

Elijah Vance, from Murray High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy. He is the son of Tim and Candace Vance.

 

Noah Hollar, from Paducah Tilghman High School, received a nomination to the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the United States Naval Academy. He is the son of Randall and Sandi Hollar.

 

Brigham Floyd, from Casey County High School, received a nomination to the United States Merchant Marine academy. He is the son of Scott and Jessica Floyd.

 

Micah Center, from Madisonville North Hopkins High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Naval Academy. He is the son of Doug and Stacy Center.

 

Elizabeth Guier, from Henderson County High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy and the United States Air Force Academy. She is the daughter of Marty and Emily Guier.

 

Mason T. Altenbaugh, from Trigg County High School and Air Force Community College, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy. He is the son of Robert Altenbaugh.

 

Jenny Mercer, from Ohio County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy. She is the daughter of Franklin and Julie Mercer.
