WASHINGTON – Today Congressman Comer attended a Congressional Coal Caucus meeting where he was joined by State Rep. Melinda Prunty who spoke to the group of Coal Caucus Members and staff.

Melinda discussed the importance of coal, the Paradise plant in Muhlenberg County and the concerns with TVA’s decision-making process with regards to the plant. She also touched on job impacts on the region as well as the work they’re doing on the ground to foster economic development through the Paradise Industrial Park and opportunity zones.

“I was honored to invite Melinda to speak to the Coal Caucus in Washington and I look forward to continuing to work with her on advocating for the importance of coal and affordable energy,” Congressman Comer said.
