WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman James Comer (KY-01) announced that he has nominated 14 students from Kentucky’s 1st District for appointments to three United States Service Academies.
“It’s a privilege to nominate 14 Kentucky students to our nation’s prestigious service academies,” Congressman Comer said. “I congratulate these young leaders on their nominations and thank them for their dedication to serving our country in this significant way.”
Denarius Barnes, from Oak Grove and Hopkinsville High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy.
Javier Bland, from Oak Grove and Hopkinsville High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy.
John Cogbill Jr., from Fort Campbell and Fort Campbell High School, received nominations to the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, and United States Air Force Academy.
Brenon Colvin, from Campbellsville and currently attending David Glasgow Farragut Rota High School in Spain, received nominations to the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, and United States Air Force Academy.
Christian Cosner, from Benton and Marshall County High School, received nominations to the United States Military Academy and the United States Air Force Academy.
Ryan Hebert, a homeschooled student from Casey County who is taking classes through Somerset Community College, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy and United States Air Force Academy.
Lilyan Hendricks, from Hopkinsville and University Heights Academy, received nominations to the United States Military Academy and United States Air Force Academy.
Cameron Jordan, from Cadiz and Trigg County High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy.
Braxton Nelson, from Paducah and McCracken County High School, received nominations to the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, and United States Air Force Academy.
Parker Rathman, from Kevil and Ballard Memorial High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy.
Allison Silvernail, from Gilbertsville and Christian Fellowship School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy.
Ryan Skinner, from Cadiz and Trigg County High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy.
Brent Smith, a homeschooled student from Scottsville, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy.
Tanner Way, from Marion and Crittenden County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy.
