WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Congressman Comer attended the swearing-in ceremony at the Pentagon for Kelli Pendleton of Hopkinsville; Kelli was selected as the next Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Kentucky West. Congressman Comer supported Kelli’s nomination to this position with a letter of recommendation to the Secretary of the Army. Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army are business and community leaders appointed by the Secretary to advise and support Army leaders across the country.

In 2017 Kelly was appointed to the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs. She currently serves as the President/CEO of the Christian County Chamber of Commerce as well as the acting President of the Association of the United States Army, Fort Campbell.

“Kelli has over 15 years’ worth of experience working with Fort Campbell and has been an exemplary leader concerning the welfare of our military and building relationships with the communities surrounding Fort Campbell,” Congressman Comer said. “It was an honor to recommend Kelli for this position, attend today’s ceremony and celebrate her swearing-in. I know Kelli will be a great asset in this esteemed role.”

“I am honored and humbled to have been selected as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Kentucky West. I look forward to helping the Army tell its story and representing Western Kentucky in this capacity. I greatly appreciate Congressman Comer’s support and look forward to continuing to work with him on military issues,” Kelli said.
