RUSSELL COUNTY – On Monday, August 30, Congressman Comer spent the day in Russell County meeting with and listening to constituents and local leaders.
He met with Chief Rick Godbey at the Russell County Search & Rescue Department, spoke at Duo Broadband’s board meeting, and visited with Russell County farmers active in the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association.
Throughout the day, Congressman Comer discussed and listened to concerns regarding rural broadband access, Afghanistan, law enforcement and federal grant programs.
“As a Congressman, my job is to spend time with the people I represent and take their insights and concerns back to Washington. From COVID-19 to Afghanistan, America is facing a series of challenges, and the voices of people in Russell County are crucial to shaping policy and discussions around these important issues,” Congressman Comer said. “I take pride in being a member of Congress who is accessible to my constituents and am grateful for the opportunity to represent the citizens of Russell County in Congress.”
