WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman James Comer (KY-01) announced that he has nominated 8 students from Kentucky’s 1st District for appointments to United States service academies.

“Kentucky’s 1st District is home to hardworking, patriotic young people who are dedicated to furthering themselves in service to their country,” Congressman Comer said. “I want to congratulate these eight fine leaders on receiving these prestigious nominations, which are a testament to their leadership skills and character.”

Andrew Alvey, a student from Dixon who attends Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy and United States Air Force Academy.

Reese Bell, a student from Paducah who attends McCracken County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy.

Noah Coleman, a student from Calhoun who attends McClean County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy.

Easton Colvin, a student from Campbellsville who is currently attending Fort Knox Middle High School, received a nomination to the Unites States Naval Academy and United States Military Academy.

Ethan Goodson, a student from Campbellsville who attends Taylor County High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy.

Naomi Krug, a student from Murray who attends Calloway County High School, received nominations to the United States Air Force Academy and United States Naval Academy.

Gracie Melton, a student from Albany who attends Clinton County High School, received nominations to the United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, and United States Naval Academy.

Kristopher Ruth, a student from Hopkinsville who attends Heritage Christian Academy, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy and United States Military Academy.
