TOMPKINSVILLE, KY – Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) is proud to announce Jasmine Larkins of Christian County High School as the winner of Kentucky's 1st Congressional District's 2023 Congressional Art Competition. Larkin’s drawing is titled ‘Derby Hat’ and will hang in the U.S. Capitol. 

Addison Piatt, also of Christian County High School, came in second place with a pencil portrait titled ‘First Female to Orbit the Moon.’ Piatt’s artwork will be prominently displayed in Congressman Comer’s Washington, D.C. office.  


Jesse McClain, of Washington County High School, came in third place with a chalk pastel drawing titled ‘School Sports One Ball at a Time.’ McClain’s impressive work will be on display in Congressman Comer's Tompkinsville office.

"Congratulations to Jasmine, Addison, and Jesse on their impressive artwork. The 2023 Congressional Art Competition included many excellent submissions from Kentucky’s 1st District. I am proud to select these pieces and place them on full display in the U.S. Capitol, my Washington, D.C. office, and Tompkinsville office," said Congressman James Comer.
