WASHINGTON-Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) recognized University of Kentucky student Hailee Valentine for recently completing a spring internship in his Washington D.C. office. While serving Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, Hailee was dedicated to helping staff conduct Capitol tours, respond to constituent inquiries, and research critical legislation.
“Hailee was an invaluable member of my Washington, D.C. office this spring, and I want to express my gratitude for her exceptional service to Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District. Her contributions were vital in supporting both my team and countless Kentuckians. I’m excited to witness the bright future that awaits her and look forward to following her continued success,” Congressman Comer said.
Hailee Valentine, a Laurel County native, is pursuing her undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky studying Marketing and Management and is an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
“Learning about Congress from Congressman Comer and his staff has been nothing short of incredible. Throughout this internship, I was able to navigate through many professional opportunities that will be valuable in my future endeavors,” Valentine said.
In the Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the fall, spring or summer semesters for college students. They may be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House.
