First District Congressman James Comer says federal assistance will soon be available for residents of the Pembroke area in southern Christian County who were hit hard by the recent tornadoes that moved through the region.

Comer told the News Edge the tornado damage in Pembroke mirrors what he saw in other parts of the first district.

Comer says federal assistance will help communities in a number of ways.

Congressman Comer spoke with the News Edge Saturday after stopping in Pembroke Friday to view storm damage and meet with Pembroke officials.
