WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman James Comer (KY-01) announced that he has nominated 14 students from Kentucky’s 1st District for appointments to United States service academies.

“One of the proudest parts of serving Kentucky’s 1st District in Congress is having the opportunity to nominate Kentucky students to our nation’s outstanding service academies,” Congressman Comer said. “I congratulate these young leaders on their nominations and thank them for their dedication to furthering themselves in service to our country.”

Caeden Burcham, from Cadiz and Trigg County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy.

Payne Carr, from Sturgis and Union County High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy.

Charles Graber, from Central City and Muhlenberg County High School, received nominations to the United States Military Academy, United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Naval Academy.

Jayda Harris, from Benton and McCracken County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy.

Hunter Hazel, from Paducah and McCracken County High School, received a nomination to the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Joseph Hazel, from Paducah and McCracken County High School, received a nomination to the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Samuel Hoffman, from Columbia and the Gatton Academy for Math and Science, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy and United States Military Academy.

Cameron Jordan, from Cadiz and Trigg County High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy.

John Mark Page, from Russellville and Logan County High School, received nominations to the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, and United States Air Force Academy.

Caitlyn Powers, from Mayfield and Calloway County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy.

Dayton Spille, from Henderson and Henderson County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy.

Olivia Starz, from Fort Campbell and Fort Campbell High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy.

Charles Michael Venable III, from Pembroke and Heritage Christian Academy, received nominations to the United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, and United States Naval Academy.

Connor Wallace, from Cadiz and Trigg County High School, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy and United States Air Force Academy.
