WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman James Comer (R-KY.) announced the eight local high school students from Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District who received a nomination for appointments to United States service academies.
“I want to congratulate these outstanding students on their achievements. These students are local leaders and will now have the opportunity to attend our nation’s service academies,” said Congressman Comer. “Each individual has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, and character. Our community should be extremely proud of these individuals. Their desire to serve our nation’s armed services does not go unnoticed, and I wish them the best as they move forward through the appointment process.”
Connor Andrew Drury, a student from Mayfield who attends Graves County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point and the United States Naval Academy.
Antwan Jacobe Dunmyer, Jr., a student from Fort Campbell who attends Immanuel Christian High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point.
Evan Reid Foley, a student from Symsonia who attends Graves County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point.
Preston Alexander Key, a student from Murray who attends Murray High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point.
Lacon Cade McKinney, a student from Henderson who attends Henderson County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point and the United States Air Force Academy.
Hunter William Reeves, a student from Fort Campbell who attends Fort Campbell High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point and the United States Naval Academy.
Jackson Benjamin Smith, a student from Hopkinsville who attends Hopkinsville High School, received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy, and United States Military Academy West Point.
Braeden Wilson West, a student from New Concord who attends Graves County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point and the United States Naval Academy.
